Current Events Sources

At some point in your children's development they should start to become aware of what is going on in the world. T.V. news is of very limited value. It is typically more "infotainment" than information. The best journalistic sources are print media, from major newspapers that have the resources to maintain extensive networks of reporters and analysts. Click on the Current Events Sources link (on the Resources page) and read from newspapers from around the country and around the world. For your convenience, here they are also:

"Students and Families" Page

Some of our students and families have their own web sites and/or blogs (the numbers have dwindled recently). Blogs are a form of publication. Your children can learn to write for an actual audience by creating a blog (see Blogspot.com or other free blog hosts). There is a page of links to these called "Students and Families". If you have a web site you would like linked from the school's web site, please contact me at david at erclc.org.
